BILKIS BANO CASE: PLEAS CHALLENGING REMISSION

— Supreme Court will tomorrow hear pleas challenging remission granted to convicts in Bilkis Bano rape case.

One of the public interest litigation has been filed by former CPI(M) leader Suhashini Ali and two others while the other one has been filed by TMC MP Mahua Moitra.

PLEA REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF ALDERMEN

— Court to continue hearing on plea of the Delhi Government to quash the nomination of 10 members to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi by the Lieutenant Governor.

SLP CHALLENGING DELHI RIOTS BAIL ORDERS

— Court to hear the appeals filed by the Delhi Police challenging the Delhi High Court order granting bail to Delhi riots accused students Asif Iqbal Tanha, Devangana Kalita & Natasha Narwal.

The Supreme Court had on the last date of hearing issued notice to the three accused persons seeking their response over the appeal filed by the Delhi Police. The court had also said that the order shall not be used as a precedent by any parties or any court.

— Court to continue hearing on the petition filed by Liquorgate accused Sameer Mahendru seeking bail in the excise policy scam money laundering case.

— Court continue to hear the case against Former Congress Leader Sajjan Kumar and others who have been charged with murder and rioting in a case related to the killing of one Surjit Singh in the national capital’s Sultanpuri in 1984
