Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Inaugurates Ayushman Arogya Mandir At Tis Hazari Court Complex

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday inaugurated an Ayushman Arogya Mandir at the Tis Hazari Court Complex, calling it a “turning point” in the city’s healthcare journey.

“This is a very big milestone for Delhi, from where a new turning point starts in the journey of the people of Delhi,” Gupta told the media after the inauguration.

Hailing the project as a “gift” to the people of Delhi, the CM credited the central government for the initiative. “This is itself a big gift that Delhi has received through the work of the central government, which the previous government did not provide,” she said.

Sharp Attack On AAP Over Delays

Taking a direct swipe at the previous AAP-led government, Gupta accused it of neglecting the project for four years. “The previous government should have started this work four years ago but they never even entertained the thought of it… I consider this as a big crime against the people of Delhi,” she said.

She added that her administration was given just 8 months to execute the work, contrasting it with the AAP’s Mohalla Clinics. “This is very different from the Mohalla clinics that the previous government opened, which was nothing but temporary structures. We want to provide the people of Delhi with the best of health facilities,” Gupta said, adding that her team is committed to ensuring that “not a single penny made in the interest of Delhi is wasted.”

Citywide Rollout Of Arogya Mandirs

Alongside the Tis Hazari launch, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated another Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Budh Bazar Road, Chaukhandi. Speaking at the event, Sirsa said, “A total of 33 Arogya Mandirs have been inaugurated today, and they have excellent infrastructure.”

Ayushman Bharat Cards For Senior Citizens

The city’s healthcare push continues under the Pradhan Mantri Vay Vandana Yojana. On May 18, Delhi Minister Ashish Sood distributed Ayushman Bharat cards to senior citizens (aged 70 and above) in Janakpuri, West Delhi.

“Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started the distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards… We are ensuring that the beneficiaries get Ayushman Bharat cards so that they can avail its benefits,” Sood told media.

He emphasized that thousands have already received their cards and urged people to spread awareness. “Make them aware that they should go to their elders and their children in any other state where they can benefit from these hospitals as well,” he said.

A Push Towards Better Healthcare Access

With over 30 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs launched in a single day and an ongoing card distribution drive, the Gupta-led government is positioning health infrastructure as a top priority, while drawing a sharp contrast with the previous regime’s approach.
