Delhi Court Allows Actress Jacqueline Fernandez To Travel Abroad

The Patiala House Court today on Tuesday granted permission to Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez to attend the IIFA function from May 25-May 27 and to shoot a film in Milan, Italy from May 28-June 12.

Further, the court stated that Jacqueline will have to share her address & phone number with the investigating agency at the time she is out of India.

Jacqueline Fernandez is under the observation of ED for her alleged involvement with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar (accused in a Rs 200 crore extortion scam).

Earlier, In January she was allowed to travel to Dubai for professional commitments. As an accused in the money laundering case, Jacqueline would require permission every time she wanted to travel abroad.

Last year, when Fernandes requested to travel abroad then the court didn’t allow it. In fact, in December 2022, Jacqueline Fernandez got briefly detained by the immigration authorities at the Mumbai International Airport from going outside the country based on a look-out-circular issued against her by the ED.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been accused of extorting money from businessmen, politicians & celebrities. Sukesh Chandrashekhar allegedly extorted Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh, the wife of Shivinder Mohan Singh, the former owner of pharma major Ranbaxy by posing as a top government official when he was lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail.

Earlier, sources reported that Sukesh sent a gift worth over Rs 10 crore to the 36-year-old actor while he was in jail. Sources added that Sukesh also booked a chartered flight for Jacqueline from Mumbai to Chennai when he was out on bail. The actor and the conman stayed together at a hotel in Chennai for 2 days.

Also, the ED suspects that a huge amount of money that Sukesh extorted from a businessman’s wife was redirected to Jacqueline Fernandez.
