Delhi Police Nab Married Couple for Govt Job Fraud

The Delhi Police has apprehended a married couple for allegedly deceiving individuals under the guise of offering government jobs.

Evading Arrest

According to authorities, both suspects had been continuously changing their addresses and identities for the past six months in an attempt to evade arrest. The accused have been identified as Vikas Tyagi (35) and his wife Amita Tyagi, residents of Ghaziabad, as per police reports.

Tip-Off

“On May 10, the personnel of the north district police received a tip-off regarding a proclaimed offender couple implicated in a cheating case registered against them at Laxmi Nagar Police Station,” stated the Deputy Commissioner of Police (north).

The officer added that they had been concealing themselves within a rented flat in Govind Puram, Ghaziabad, prompting a raid which resulted in their apprehension.

“Both individuals confessed to the police that they had been defrauding people by promising them government jobs, particularly candidates preparing for government job examinations,” the DCP remarked.
