Disha Salian’s Death Case: Mumbai Police Seeks BJP MLA Nitesh Rane’s Input

Disha Salian's Death Case

The special investigation team of the Mumbai police on Thursday sought BJP MLA Nitesh Rane to provide any information he possesses regarding the death of Disha Salian, a former manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, an official stated.

Salian was found dead on June 8, 2020, on the premises of the building where she resided in Malad, located in the northern part of the metropolis.

The SIT’s letter to Nitesh Rane was sent by Malwani police station’s senior inspector Chimaji Adhav, who is leading the investigation, the official added.

The BJP MLA has been asked to appear before the investigating officer (IO) to share any information he may have about Salian’s death, the official stated. “Rane can come at his convenience, and to avoid any inconvenience, he has been asked to call Adhav before heading to the Malwani police station,” the official said, quoting the letter.

According to the police, Salian (28) allegedly committed suicide by jumping from a high-rise building in Malad. The SIT was formed in December last year. Rajput (34) allegedly hanged himself in his Bandra home on June 14, a few days after Salian’s death.
