The Delhi police has recently lodged an FIR, after court direction, against a woman for extorting money after registering a rape case.
An FIR has been lodged at the Sultanpuri police station.
The accused is said to have initially honey-trapped the complainant and coerced him into paying Rs 15 lakh and marrying her.
When the accused resisted, the woman filed an FIR at Laxmi Nagar police station on February 21, 2022, leading to the complainant’s arrest on February 23, 2022.
Subsequently, the complainant, after being granted bail, married the woman on April 14, 2022.
However, during his custody, she purportedly demanded an additional Rs 25 lakh.
On December 14, 2023, the Delhi police presented an Action Taken Report to Rohini Court, indicating the registration of an FIR under sections related to extortion and Criminal Conspiracy, among others.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sanya Dalal issued a directive on November 29 to register the FIR and submit an ATR.
The complainant, Anuj Kumar, asserted that the woman has a history of habitual complaints and utilizes FIRs to extort money.
Allegedly, she has filed numerous cases in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Delhi, and various other locations.
Furthermore, it is claimed that the woman consistently extorted money by threatening to implicate the complainant’s family members in false and baseless rape cases.
Additionally, it was stated that the accused woman and her mother filed an FIR in Ajmer against an individual and demanded Rs 18 lakh for a compromise regarding the FIR.
