Haryana: Firing In Ambala City Court Premises, Probe Initiated

A shooting incident transpired within the premises of the Ambala court on Saturday, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.

According to law enforcement officials, the gunfire erupted when residents of Ambala Cantt arrived at the court to provide their statements.

Kotwali Police Station SHO Sunil Vats confirmed the incident, stating that preliminary inquiries indicate a possible prior dispute between the victims and the accused.

“The victims, who are residents of Ambala Cantt, were present at the court to give their statements when an individual in a vehicle arrived and opened fire on them,” SHO Vats informed the media. “Initial findings suggest the possibility of an ongoing rivalry between the involved parties.”

In response to the shooting, the Crime Branch has assumed responsibility for the investigation, focusing on establishing the motive and identifying those involved.

“The Crime Branch is now conducting a thorough inquiry to ascertain the full details of the case,” SHO Vats further stated.

Authorities have not yet disclosed specific details regarding potential suspects or arrests. The investigation remains active as law enforcement officials continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses.
