Haryana: Man Gets 25 Years Of Imprisonment For Raping Minor Daughter

The Hisar court has recently sentenced a 50-year-old man to 25 years of imprisonment for raping his minor daughter in 2018.

Fast Track Court’s Additional Sessions Judge Rajesh Kumar Mehta pronounced the verdict and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on the convict.

According to Deputy District Attorney Narender Kumar, the court convicted the man on August 19 and awarded the quantum of punishment.

The girl got pregnant after she was raped by the accused.

According to the prosecution, the victim stated in her complaint, that her age was 15 and her she studied in 11th grade. She disclosed that due to her father’s alcoholism and subsequent fight with her mother, the mother left for Rajasthan to live with her parents.

The victim’s complaint detailed the distressing incident on June 11, 2018, when her father, under the influence of alcohol, sexually assaulted her. One day the girl had a stomach ache, after which she was found to be pregnant. The prosecution contended that she was then coerced to take abortion pills. When the girl’s mother returned one day, the victim told her about the whole incident.

Later, she went to the police station and registered a case against her father.

The police registered a case against the accused under the sections 376 (rape) and 313 (forced miscarriage) of IPC and the relevant provisions of the POCSO Act.
