HP Court Sentences Man To 10 Yrs Of Imprisonment For Raping Minor

Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur court on Wednesday has sentenced a man to 10 years of imprisonment for raping a girl more than 4 years ago.

Special Judge Bilaspur Chirag Bhanu Singh on Tuesday has convicted one Pawan Kumar under Section 6 (sexual assault) of the POCSO Act and imposed on him a fine of Rs 1 lakh as well.

According to District Judge Chandrashekhar Bhatia, Kumar on August 14, 2019, took the girl from a village in Bilaspur to Samletu, his village, and raped her keeping her in captivity for 2 days.
