The Central Industrial Security Force recently intercepted a man involved in a job scam operation at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Previously on July 5th, CISF surveillance teams noticed suspicious behavior from a visitor named Pawan Bairwa in the departure area. He was closely monitored and upon questioning, could not provide satisfactory answers. It was revealed that Bairwa and several associates were at the airport for a fake job interview scam at Encalm Private Limited in Terminal 3.
Further investigation of his documents and phone uncovered suspicious transactions on his PhonePe account, prompting Bairwa to admit his involvement in the scam.
The 1st victim, Chitranjan Kumar, stated he had paid Rs 25,000 to Bairwa online for a job opportunity, which Bairwa confessed to receiving.
Subsequently, Bairwa was handed over to the IGI police station for legal action around 7:10 PM. An FIR was filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at the IGI Airport police station.
This incident follows a previous case in June where CISF intercepted a 24-year-old man traveling with a passport issued in the name of a 67-year-old man. CISF staff, using profiling and behavior detection techniques, identified discrepancies and uncovered another passport under the real name of Guru Sewak Singh.
The individual admitted to using a forged passport and was handed over to Delhi Police for further legal proceedings. CISF’s proactive measures have been instrumental in preventing misuse of travel documents and combating fraudulent activities at the airport.
