A court in Assam’s Kamrup metropolitan district Court has ordered the Guwahati police to register an FIR against Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal, for his controversial remarks.
The court was hearing a plea by Dulu Ahmed, vice-president of the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) seeking to register an FIR against
Badruddin Ajmal.
The court, had also asked the SHO to conduct an inquiry into the controversial remarks allegedly made by the AIUDF chief and submit a final report.
Ahmed had filed the petition in the court on December 3 after the Hatigaon police station allegedly did not register the complaint filed against Ajmal. The petition states that the Guwahati Police Commissioner was approached with a complaint on December 6, but the case was not registered.
