A man was caught red-handed while attempting to dispose of his wife’s body, whom he brutally beheaded and severed her hands, according to Muzaffarnagar police.
Arbaz had married 21-year-old Chahat from Uttarakhand approximately six months ago and they had been living in a rented room without informing his family.
About a week ago, Arbaz allegedly killed Chahat using a sharp-edged weapon and mutilated her by severing her head and hands, as per police officials.
On Thursday, Arbaz, assisted by his friend Shahrukh, transported the body on a motorcycle to the Kali river in Niyazipur village with the intent to discard it, said City Superintendent of Police Satyanarain Perjapat. They were apprehended in the act.
