The Manipur High Court has recently started hearing cases via hybrid mode with effects.
Furthermore, the court has adopted a hybrid functioning model, effective from June 6, that combines both virtual & physical hearings.
Video conference facilities & e-filing services will be made available at E-Sewa Kendras and District Collectors’ offices. These establishments will provide the essential infrastructure and support required to facilitate smooth video conferences and seamless e-filing of cases.
Litigants & lawyers can now appear before the court either through video conference or by physically attending the courtroom.
To support this new mode of operation, video conference facilities and e-filing services are available at E-Sewa Kendras & District Collectors’ offices.
The Computer Committee of the High Court is also working towards implementing the hybrid functioning system in the District Courts of Manipur.
Dedicated helpline numbers (+91-9089812323 for e-filing and +91-8014829143 for video conferencing) have been established to provide assistance and technical support.
Furthermore, a standard operating procedure (SOP) has been developed to ensure adherence to court protocols during remote video conferencing. The High Court’s website offers access to video conferencing links and the SOP for easy reference.
