Minister Madan Sahni Acquitted In 15-Year-Old Criminal Case During Nitish Kumar Government

The MP/MLA Court in Bihar has recently acquitted Social Welfare Minister Madan Sahni in a 15-year-old criminal case due to lack of evidence.

In July 13, 2009, around 12:30 PM, Madan Sahni, the former district council chairman, took a red beacon car from the Bahadurpur police station, located about 200 yards away from the block office, to the primary health center in Bahadurpur.

At that time, 5-6 people were in the car with him. However, upon being stopped, they immediately returned with the car at a high speed.

Based on this incident, Parshuram, an officer of the Darbhanga District Transport Inspection Team, filed a complaint against Sahni in the Bahadurpur police station for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

After investigation, the complaint was submitted to the court.

The court acknowledged the complaint on March 8, 2010, and the charges were framed in November 2010.
