A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three men in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur district, prompting police to arrest the accused trio, according to an official.
The victim knew one of the accused, he stated.
“On May 17, an incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Tilwara Police Station. The victim has known Shubham Rajak (20), one of the three accused, for the past year. On Friday, he took the girl in the SUV under the pretext of going for a drive.
But when she arrived, two more youths were already in the vehicle,” he explained.
The trio raped the girl inside the SUV before dropping her outside her house around 2 a.m., he claimed.
She later told her parents about the ordeal, and the incident was reported to the Tilwara police station.
Based on her complaint, a gangrape and kidnapping case was filed against the three men, who were arrested, the official stated.
According to the preliminary investigation by the police, Rajak has five criminal cases filed against him, he added.
