NSUI President Condemns ABVP’s Diversion In Fake Degree Row

National Students' Union of India

The National Students’ Union of India on Sunday has strongly criticized the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for attempting to divert attention from allegations of fake degrees held by their leaders at the University of Delhi.

NSUI President Varun Choudhary condemned ABVP’s tactics, labeling them as a deliberate distraction from serious issues such as the NEET, NET, and NTA scams. Choudhary accused ABVP of a history of campus violence and intimidation, particularly at Delhi University, where they have allegedly assaulted professors and engaged in other misconduct.

Choudhary emphasized, “ABVP’s actions are not only condemnable but also expose their intent to mislead students and conceal their own wrongdoing.”

In an official statement titled “Our Response to ABVP’s Diversion Tactics,” Choudhary further criticized ABVP for fabricating violence, vandalizing property, and producing counterfeit degrees to deceive students and evade accountability.

He highlighted NSUI’s commitment to truth and justice, stating, “We demand a thorough investigation into the fake degree scandal at DUSU (Delhi University Students’ Union). Students deserve representatives of integrity, not those with fake credentials.”

The NSUI reaffirmed its dedication to addressing genuine student concerns and advocating for transparency in student governance.
