A local court in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district has recently sentenced a man to life imprisonment after he was convicted in a 2022 murder case.
Deepak Kumar, the Additional District and Sessions Judge in Rairangpur, declared 21-year-old Shyama Kisku guilty of the murder of 30-year-old Natha Naik.
Moreover, the court imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 upon the convicted individual, as affirmed by Additional Public Prosecutor Pankaj Kumar Das.
Kisku axed Nath to death on July 29, 2022, following a dispute in Kusumi village within the jurisdiction of Badampahad Police Station.
Pankaj Kumar Das stated that the judgment was based on the statements of 14 witnesses and medical reports.
