The woman, who was traveling on a two-wheeler with her two children, claimed that the driver pursued her for two kilometers before attacking her, resulting in significant injuries and a bleeding nose.

She documented the incident in a video, which she shared on Instagram to demand justice and highlight concerns about women’s safety in the city. The video quickly gained traction on social media.

Authorities have apprehended the alleged attacker and a woman accompanying him. They face charges under sections 118(1), 74, 115(2), 352, and 3(5) of the BNS and the Motor Vehicle Act. The case has been filed at Chaturshrangi Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.

Victim Jerlyn Dsilva recounted the incident, saying, “He was blocking me and wouldn’t let me go. When the signal turned red, I tried to talk to him. He responded aggressively by rolling down his window and hurling abuse. He then began tailgating me, got out of his car, and punched me hard enough that I was disoriented for ten seconds.
