Pune Police Arrests PE Teacher, 7 Others For Sexual Harassment Of Minor Girl

Balia Murder Case

The Pimpri Chinchwad Police in Pune, Maharashtra, have arrested 7 staff members of a school, including the Principal, PT teacher, a trustee, and 4 others, in connection with the alleged sexual harassment of a minor student.

The arrests were made on Friday evening after police discovered that the PT teacher, the main accused, had allegedly sexually harassed the girl student repeatedly over the past two years.

“This is not the first time the PT teacher has faced such accusations. He was previously booked and arrested on charges of molestation and under the POCSO Act and had served time in jail,” police officials revealed. Despite his criminal record, the school authorities retained him, leading to the arrest of the Principal, trustee, and others for their negligence and complicity.

The case was registered following a formal complaint from the victim’s father under the POCSO Act and several sections of the BNS at the Nigdi police station, under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. An investigation is ongoing.
