The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the name of Delhi High Court judge Justice Manmohan as the Chief Justice of the High Court.
This decision was made by the Supreme Court Collegium led by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud.
It is noteworthy to mentioned that Justice Manmohan, currently the senior-most judge at the Delhi High Court, has been serving as its acting Chief Justice since September 9, 2023. Born on December 17, 1962, he completed his LL.B. from Delhiās Campus Law Centre in 1987. He enrolled as a lawyer with the Bar Council of Delhi in the same year and practiced before the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court.
Designated Senior Advocate by the Delhi High Court in January 2003, he was appointed as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court on March 13, 2008, and made a permanent judge on December 17, 2009.
