The four individuals arrested in connection with the assault on a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official has recently been remanded to 14 days of judicial custody until July 11.
They have appeared before the Bandra Court.
Additionally, Anil Parab, a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader, and former Maharashtra transport minister who was also arrested along with four party members, is expected to seek Anticipatory Bail from the Sessions Court in Mumbai.
The case pertains to the alleged assault on the BMC official who was leading the demolition of a Shiv Sena branch office.
The Vakola police station has registered a case against over 15 individuals, as confirmed by the Mumbai police. The arrested individuals, identified as Sada Parab, Haji Alim, Uday Dalvi, and Santosh Kadam, are all leaders associated with the Uddhav faction.
The incident took place on Thursday, June 22, when the structure was demolished.
A video circulating online shows the purported assault on the BMC official, including slapping, kicking, and shoving. BMC security guards can be seen attempting to intervene and rescue the official.
