Vijayawada’s Local court on Thursday adjourned the hearing on a petition filed by the AP CID seeking the custody of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Corporation scam till September 22.
“The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court may deliver its verdict on Friday as arguments from both sides have been completed”, Additional Advocate General Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy told the Media
Further, the bail petition filed by Naidu in the Inner Ring Road case in the High Court has been posted to September 26.
Previously on September 10, Chandrababu Naidu was sent to judicial custody for 14 days, till September 23, by the Anti-Corruption Bureau court in Vijayawada in connection with an alleged Skill Development Corporation scam.
As per the officials, the case in which Naidu is arrested pertains to the establishment of clusters of Centres of Excellence in the state of Andhra Pradesh, with a total estimated project value of Rs 3300 crore.
The agency officials also claimed that the alleged fraud has caused a huge loss to the state government in excess of Rs 300 crore.
