The Delhi Police on Wednesday brought back Bibhav Kumar Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide, from Mumbai, where he had been taken a day earlier for the retrieval of data from his iPhone, as stated by an officer.
Kumar remains in police custody for five days in connection with the purported assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the residence of the Delhi CM.
On 21st May (Tuesday), Bibhav Kumar had been taken to Mumbai for the discovery of data from his phone, which he had purportedly formatted before his arrest. Police suspect Kumar formatted his phone after transferring its data to someone or some device in Mumbai. Kumar’s phones, laptop, and CCTV recordings from Kejriwal’s house have been sent for forensic examination, as stated by an officer.
The officer mentioned that as Kumar’s police custody is ending on Thursday, investigators are endeavoring to collect all evidence related to the case.
