UP Police Detains Youth Over Video Threatening PM Modi and CM Yogi
The Uttar Pradesh Police has detained a 22-year-old youth after a video purportedly showing him “abusing” and “threatening to kill” Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath surfaced.
Circle Officer (City) Gaurav Kumar Sharma stated in a viral social media video that a man could be heard using offensive language against PM Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath. The accused was also recorded threatening their lives.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the video dated back three to four months. This led the police to detain Akbar Ali, a resident of Rajendra Nagar.
Ali was taken into custody on Monday and is currently undergoing interrogation, the CO added.
