Wayanad Landslides: Kerala High Court to Hold Special Reference for Victims and Survivors

The Kerala High Court will hold a solemn ceremony on Friday (August 2) to honor those who lost their lives in the recent catastrophic landslides in Wayanad district and to offer support to the survivors.

The ceremony, set to begin at 10:15 AM in the Chief Justice’s court, aims to pay tribute to the victims and extend support to their families and survivors affected by this tragedy.

The special reference will feature addresses from Acting Chief Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque, Advocate General K. Gopalakrishna Kurup, and Yeshwanth Shenoy, President of the Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association.

Following the addresses, the court will observe a two-minute silence to honor the memory of the victims and reflect on the profound impact of the disaster. This moment of silence will serve as a powerful reminder of the community’s unity and the importance of supporting one another in the face of adversity.

The High Court’s gesture underscores the importance of coming together in times of crisis, offering solace to those grieving and pledging continued efforts toward recovery and rebuilding.
