2000 Murder Case: Mahrajganj Court Sentences Man to Life Term

Mahrajganj Court has sentences a man to life imprisonment in a 23-year-old murder case.

Additional Sessions Judge Pawan Kumar Srivastava found Deeppan Sonar guilty in the murder of Ramsurat in 2000, as confirmed by Assistant District Government Counsel Santosh Mishra.

The court, in addition to the life sentence, imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on the convicted individual. Simultaneously, four others involved in the case were acquitted.

Ramsurat went missing in September 2000, and his body was discovered a few weeks later. Subsequent to the investigation, the police filed a charge sheet against Deeppan Sonar and the four other individuals.
