Jharkhand’s Medininagar MP/MLA Special Court has acquitted Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Mithilesh Kumar Thakur in a case related to the violation of the election model code of conduct during the 2014 assembly poll campaign.
The case, filed by the concerned election officer, accused Thakur of influencing voters in Chama under the Garwah assembly segment.
The MP/MLA Special Court, citing a lack of concrete evidence against the JMM leader, declared his acquittal in the matter. Throughout the trial, the minister had obtained bail by appearing before the court.
