2015 Sacrilege Case: SC Transfers Trial Against Ram Rahim & Others To Chandigarh

The Supreme Court recently transferred the trial against Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and others from Faridkot to Chandigarh in the 2015 desecration case of the Guru Granth Sahib.

The bench comprising Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia accepted the petitioner’s contention that there was a threat to their lives.

Therefore, The Supreme Court was hearing transfer petitions filed by Dera followers Sukhjinder Singh, Shakti Singh, Ranjit Singh, Nishan Singh, Baljit Singh, Randeep Singh, and Narinder Kumar Sharma.
