The Delhi Patiala house court sent Shankar Misra in 14 days Judicail Custody. Shanakr Mishra is accused of urenaring on co-passenger on board flight New york to Delhi on december 26 December.
The Court also issues to Delhi police on the bail plea of Shankar Mishra, Delhi Police Have to file their response on January 11. The Court posted this matter for hearing on January 11.
In a shamful incident on board Air India flight,a Mumbai resident Shankar Mishra urinated on an elderly woman while intoxicated. Delhi Police arrested accused Shankar from Banglore and produced him at the Patiala House Court Delhi today.
Air India on Saturday grounded crew members and issued show cause notices to pilot and Co-pilot.
“Internal investigations into whether there were lapses by other workers are ongoing on elements such as the service of alcohol on flights, incident handling, complaint registration on board, and grievance processing,” Campbell Wilson, CEO and Managing Director of Air India, said in a statement.
The airline expressed its “regret and grief” over the incident and said that it should have managed the issue more effectively “both in the air and on the ground.” The airline’s handling of the situation shocked and infuriated the 71-year-old complainant.
The airline announced that it has begun a “comprehensive education programme” to improve crews’ knowledge of and adherence to policies on the handling of incidents and disruptive passengers, as well as to better prepare crew “to empathetically assist” those affected.
This is done in an effort to prevent future occurrences of such incidents.
