Arvind Kejriwal Gets Relief, SC Extends Interim Stay Order on UP Trial Court Proceedings

The Supreme Court today extended interim order which has stayed the trial court’s proceedings against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The case was registered against him in 2014 in UP’s election campaign.

The division bench of Justices KM Joseph & BV Nagarathna defer case after the State government stated that it needed more time to file a response to the plea.

Therefore, the bench posted the case for hearing in the 3rd week of July.

The bench stated that, “Put it in the third week of July. The interim order will continue.”
