Baba Siddiqui Murder: Mumbai Court Issues Non-Bailable Warrants Against Anmol Bishnoi

A Mumbai special court has recently issued non-bailable warrants for Anmol Lavindersingh Bishnoi, also known as AB Bhai, in relation to the murder of National Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui.

This decision came after the court reviewed evidence presented by the police, which highlighted Bishnoi’s role in the crime.

The ruling was made by Special Judge BD Shelke, who is handling the case under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). After hearing the arguments from ACP Kishorkumar Shinde and the Public Prosecutor, the judge concluded that there was enough evidence to implicate Bishnoi in the murder.

The judge’s order stated, “After reviewing the chargesheet and associated materials, it is clear that there is sufficient evidence of Anmol Bishnoi’s involvement in the case. The documents show that Bishnoi provided firearms to the arrested suspects.”

Furthermore, the court has requested U.S. authorities to deport Bishnoi, who has evaded capture and is believed to be hiding to avoid arrest. Despite efforts to track him down, Bishnoi remains untraceable. The judge noted in the order, “A request has been sent to the relevant authorities in the U.S. for his deportation.

Despite our attempts to locate him, he has absconded, making it necessary to issue a standing non-bailable warrant against him.”

Bishnoi, identified as accused number 3 in the chargesheet, has been deemed a flight risk. The court believes that he will likely ignore legal summons, which led to the issuance of the non-bailable warrant.

The order further stated, “The court is of the opinion that accused no.3 has either fled or will not comply with summons, making it essential to issue a standing non-bailable warrant in order to secure his presence.”

The police chargesheet names 26 individuals in connection with the murder, including Bishnoi, Mohammad Yasin Akhtar, and Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar, all of whom are still wanted by authorities. As part of the ongoing investigation, statements from witnesses have been recorded. Notably, Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of the murdered leader, provided key details about the evening of his father’s death.

Zeeshan recounted that he arrived at his father’s office at 6:00 pm, while Baba Siddiqui arrived at 7:00 pm.

Around 9:00 pm, Zeeshan decided to step out for a short while to grab a bite to eat. While dining at a restaurant near Bandra East’s Collector’s Office, a party worker called him with the news that his father had been shot and taken to Lilavati Hospital. Zeeshan immediately rushed to the hospital with his family, only to find that Baba Siddiqui was moved to the ICU, where he later passed away from his injuries.

The investigation into the murder is ongoing as authorities continue to pursue the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
