Ballia Court Sentences Woman to Life Imprisonment for Murdering Brother-in-Law

A court in Ballia (Uttar Pradesh) has sentenced a woman to life imprisonment for the murder of her brother-in-law in a property dispute.

District and Sessions Judge Ashok Kumar also levied a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict Azra Khatoon, stated Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan Verma.

As per the prosecution’s case, Khatoon allegedly poured acid over her brother-in-law Parvez Ahmed in Middha village on July 20, 2022.

Ahmed, who sustained severe injuries, succumbed during treatment.
