Bhopal Court: Senior Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh Grants Bail In Defamation Case

The Bhopal Court on Saturday granted bail to Digvijaya Singh (Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh & Senior Congress Leader) in a defamation case filed by state BJP chief VD Sharma.

On Saturday morning Digvijay Singh with brother Laxman Singh & Son Jayavardhan Singh reached The Bhopal Court and therefore pleaded the case. Digvijaya Singh told the media that he was granted bail in the case while leaving the court.

“Today I’ve got bail in case; I’m fighting defamation cases in 4 states. A demand for CBI investigation has not been done in the case. In the Vyapam case many people are accused but Shivraj Govt. hasn’t taken any action in opposition to them and therefore they continue to stay in govt. houses”.

“Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his agents who have looted the state are the mastermind in this conspiracy”.
Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma filed defamation case opposing Digvijaya Singh where the court directed him to appear. In the FIR, BJP Chief mentioned that on July 4, 2014, Digvijay Singh had accused him of being the intermediate in the Vyapam Scam where he was at the position of
General Secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad that defamed his image.
The Vyapam scam began in 1995 involving politicians, senior officials, and businessmen.
The Scam broke out in 2013, where the candidates rigged exams by
deploying imposters to write their answer-sheets & bribed officials.
