The Central Government on Saturday notified the appointment of Justice C.S. Sudha as a permanent Judge of the Kerala High Court.
A notification to that effect was published by the Union Law Ministry’s Justice Department.
The Collegium of Kerala High Court unanimously recommended the appointment of Justice Sudha as a permanent judge on June 21. The Chief Minister as well as the Governor also concurred with the recommendation and it was then sent to the Supreme Court Collegium.
The same was then approved by the supreme court Collegium.
Previously, on August 1, the Kerala High Court functioned with 34 judges, as against its sanctioned strength of 47 judges.
