Centre Notifies Appointment Of Seven JOs As Madhya Pradesh HC Judges

The Central government on Thursday cleared the appointment of seven judicial officers as judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

The appointed officers names are as follows; Roopesh Chandra Varshney, Anuradha Shukla, Sanjeev Sudhakar Kalgaonkar, Prem Narayan Singh, Achal Kumar Paliwal, Hirdesh and Avnindra Kumar Singh.

Notably, retired district judge Roopesh Chandra Varshney is a senior member of the Madhya Pradesh Higher Judicial Service.

The appointments were made following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium on April 5, 2023.

Currently, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has 31 judges against a sanctioned strength of 53, with 22 vacancies.
