A Chaibasa court in Jharkhand on Tuesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his parents in Halmad village, West Singhbhum, two years ago. The West Singhbhum principal district and session judge’s court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict, Madirai Ahir, also known as Sukka Nag.
The convict, after a dispute in October 2021, killed his father, Badu Nag, and mother, Charia Nag, before fleeing the village. Subsequently, during the investigation, the police apprehended Madirai and remanded him to judicial custody.
