Court Directs T’gana Minister From Defaming BRS Leader K.T. Rama Rao

A local court in Hyderabad has recently issued an interim injunction prohibiting Telangana Minister Konda Surekha from making further defamatory remarks about BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.

This ruling followed separate interlocutory applications filed by Rama Rao in response to Surekha’s comments, which sparked controversy.

The court has also directed various media organizations, including newspapers, news channels, and social media platforms, to remove any defamatory articles and videos related to the issue.

BRS legal cell member Lalitha Reddy stated that the interlocutory applications are scheduled for the next hearing on November 11, while the main defamation suit will be heard on November 21.

Attempts to reach Surekha for comment were unsuccessful.

In addition to Rama Rao, actor Nagarjuna has filed a defamation complaint against Surekha due to comments she made involving his son, Naga Chaitanya. Both Nagarjuna and Rama Rao have already provided their statements in court as part of their respective defamation cases.

The ongoing legal proceedings highlight the tension surrounding public statements made by politicians and their implications, underscoring the importance of accountability in political discourse.

As the hearings approach, all parties involved are expected to present their arguments and evidence, aiming to resolve the matter amicably and restore reputations affected by the allegations.
