Kaushambi Court in Uttar Pradesh recently sentenced two men and three of their family members to life imprisonment for the murder of their father. The case revolved around a dispute concerning the division of their father’s retirement fund.

The complainant, Narendra Pal, one of the victim Bajinath Pal’s sons, reported on June 20, 2021, that his father had been killed by his brothers Virendra and Surendra, along with their respective wives Aarti and Lalita, and Surendra’s son Sachin. The murder was allegedly committed using an iron rod, as explained by Additional District Government Counsel Anirudh Mishra.

In his complaint, Narendra asserted that his brothers had taken their father’s life due to a disagreement over how his retirement fund should be distributed among them, Mishra noted.

During the proceedings, Additional District Judge Rakesh Kumar found the accused individuals guilty and subsequently sentenced them to life imprisonment. Additionally, a fine of Rs 15,500 was imposed on each of the convicts.
