Former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai appeared before a court on Thursday in connection with a defamation complaint filed by DMK MP TR Baalu.

The XVIIth Metropolitan Magistrate hearing the case has scheduled the next hearing for August 28.

Baalu’s complaint centers around the “DMK files” released by Annamalai on April 14, 2023, which contain allegations Baalu claims are false, defamatory, and made with malicious intent to damage his reputation.
