Delhi Court Allows ED More Time To Verify AAP MLA Khan’s FDR

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday has granted time to the investigating officer of the ED to verify the Fixed Deposit Receipt furnished for the court for the release of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan.

Earlier on Thursday, the court directed Amanatullah Khan to be released subject to furnishing a bond of Rs.1 lakh by the surety.

However, the FDR could not be verified as the banks were closed on Friday due to a public holiday.

The address and identification of the surety Bahar Alam have been verified.

Previously on Thursday, Delhi court ordered the released of Khan from jail in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case, citing lack of prosecution sanction against him. The court also refused to take cognisance of the chargesheet filed by ED.

Furthermore, the Court listed the matter with the main case on November 23.
