Delhi Court Allows Jacqueline Fernandez To Travel Overseas Without Prior Court Approval

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez got a significant relief on Wednesday from the Patiala House Court in connection with the Rs 200 crore-money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.

The court granted her permission to travel abroad without prior court approval that signifies that the actress can now travel abroad for work without seeking prior permission.

However, the court stipulated that the actress must inform both court and ED three days before leaving the country.

The court acknowledged that due to Jacqueline Fernandez’s status as a member of the film industry, she often has to travel abroad. In such cases, “obtaining prior permission before leaving the country becomes burdensome and could lead to a loss of livelihood.”

The court’s decision stated that Jacqueline Fernandez must provide complete details of her travel, including the destination, duration of stay, residence, contact numbers, and other relevant information.

The court loosened the conditions of bail on the basis that the actress didn’t misuse her liberty in the past.

Earlier this year in May, after filing a petition, the Patiala House Court granted Jacqueline Fernandez permission to participate in the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in Dubai.

In essence, businessman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has been accused of extorting money from businesspeople, politicians, and celebrities.

Prior to this, a report suggested that Sukesh Chandrasekhar has sent Jacqueline Fernandez a gift worth more than 10 crore rupees while he was in jail.
