Delhi Court Extends Judicial Custody of Arvind Kejriwal and K Kavitha till Sept 2

Delhi Excise Scam

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court extended the judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, BRS leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha, and others until September 2 in connection with a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise scam.

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja extended the custody after the accused were produced before the court via video conference, following the expiration of their previously granted judicial custody.

Although the Supreme Court had earlier granted interim bail to Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader remains in Tihar Jail as he has yet to furnish the bail bond required in the case.

The AAP convenor is in judicial custody in connection with a corruption case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) related to the alleged scam.
