Delhi Court Rejects RAU’s IAS Study Circle’s Request for Premises Access

Rau's IAS Study Circle

A Delhi court on Wednesday dismissed RAU’s IAS Study Circle’s petition to allow it access to the premises of its Old Rajender Nagar building where three UPSC civil services aspirants drowned in July due to flooding.

Chief judicial magistrate Nishant Garg reserved the order following the arguments presented by the advocates for both the applicant and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The incident in question involved the drowning of three UPSC civil services aspirants in the basement of the building due to severe flooding on July 27. The building has since been sealed. RAU’s IAS Study Circle had requested access to the premises to continue its classes, but the court denied the plea.
