Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Saturday has remanded lady don Annu Dhankar to 7 days of judicial custody.
Dhankar, an associate of gangster Himanshu Bhau, was arrested in connection with the murder of Aman Joon, which occurred at a Burger King restaurant in Rajouri Garden.
Dhankar was apprehended by the Delhi Police’s special cell on Friday near the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, as she attempted to flee to Nepal.
During the court proceedings, Judicial Magistrate Padma Ladol granted the request for judicial custody after reviewing the application.
The special cell produced Dhankar in court, where she was interrogated under heavy police security and with her face muffled. Investigations into Aman Joon’s murder are being conducted by the South West District police.
According to the investigating officer, Joon was specifically lured to the restaurant before being shot.
Dhankar is scheduled to reappear in court following the completion of her judicial custody on November 2. This case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the ongoing issues of gang violence in the region.
