Delhi’s Excise Policy: Rouse Avenue Court Took Cognizance Of Charge Sheet Filed By The ED

The Rouse Avenue Court on Tuesday took cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the ED in the alleged scam in Delhi’s Excise Policy. The court has issued summons to the accused in the case.

The next hearing of the case will now be held on January 5 in Rouse Avenue Court. Ed had filed a charge sheet against Sameer Mahendru and others in the case.
Eariler The Rouse Avenue Court on December 15, took cognizance on the charge sheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against Vijay Nair and seven other accused in the Delhi Excise Policy case.

The court had issued summons to all the 7 accused including Vijay Nair and asked them to appear on January 3.

In the chargesheet, CBI has named Vijay Nair, Abhishek Boinapalli, Sameer Mahendru, Arun Ramachandra Pillai, Mutha Gautam, Excise Department Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Singh, and Excise Department Assistant Commissioner Narendra Singh as accused.

The CBI has filed a 10,000-page charge sheet in the case.

Earlier CBI had told the court that the investigation against Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is still going on.
