Exclusive! Chandrayaan-3 Moon Landing: CJI DY Chandrachud Congratulates ISRO On Success

India’s Chandrayaan-3 created history on Wednesday by landing on the Moon’s South Pole. The Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud expressed happiness over the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3.

CJI DY Chandrachuds said that it gave him immense pride as a citizen of our great nation to witness the remarkable landing of Chandrayaan 3 on the moon today.

The success of the lunar mission places India in a select group of nations to successfully achieve a landing on the lunar surface. It is all the more significant because India is the only nation to have achieved a lunar landing on the South Pole of the moon, CJI added.

He further said that this will herald new avenues in scientific research and discovery and that it is represents a milestone in the march of the nation. This date of 23 August 2023 has been recorded in golden letters in the history of India. India’s moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, became the first country ever to land in the south pole of the moon.
With Chandrayaan’s soft landing, India has become the fourth country to reach the Moon.
