Solicitor General of India General Tushar Mehta today claims in Supreme Court that Godhara Train Burning and Stone Pelting incident was not a merely stone pelting, It was a conspiracy to burn innocent Kar sevak Alive. Burning Coach was bolted and stone were pelting.
After Solicitor General Claim, The Supreme Court on Monday has issued notice to the Gujarat Government on the bail plea of the convicts.
A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud was told by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, you examinet this we will list the bail plea after two weeks. Earlier Gujarat government told the Supreme Court that their convicts fault was not only for pelting stones on the train, but pelted stone on the burning bogie of the train full of Karsevaks.
Innocent people could not jump from the bogie to save their lives. 59 people, including women and children, were burnt alive.
However, a convict has been granted bail in the case. On the basis of the same, the remaining 27 convicts have filed bail petitions.
The public prosecutor also told the Supreme Court that the stone-pelters had set ablaze the bogie of the Sabarmati Express parked at Godhra station that was returning from Ayodhya after performing karseva.
