Today is the second day of Status Quo on scientific survey of Gyanvapi campus. Today the Muslim side will file an appeal in the Allahabad High Court against the order of the Varanasi court. Even before this appeal, Rakhi Singh has filed a caveat on behalf of the Hindu side. In these circumstances, it is possible that the court will pay attention to the arguments of the Hindu side while considering the appeal of the Muslim side. However, let us try to tell you when and what happened in this incident. The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the “detailed scientific survey” of the Archaeological Survey of India till 5 pm on July 26 to determine whether the mosque located next to the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi was built over a temple.

August 2021: A petition is filed before the Varanasi Civil Court by five Hindu devotees seeking permission to offer daily prayers at the Gyanvapi mosque.

April 8, 2022: Civil court orders survey of the premises and appoints Ajay Kumar Mishra as in-charge of the work.

May 13, 2022: Supreme Court refuses interim order of status quo on survey of Gyanvapi-Shringar Gauri complex.

May 17, 2022: The Supreme Court passes an interim order directing the District Magistrate of Varanasi to ensure the security of the area inside the campus.

May 20, 2022: Supreme Court transfers the case from civil judge to district judge. October 14, 2022: Varanasi district court rejects the petition for carbon dating of Shivling. November 10, 2022: The Supreme Court agreed to set up a bench to hear the matter.
