Hyderabad: BJP’s T Raja Singh Charged For Making Controversial Comments During Ram Navami Rally

BJP MLA T. Raja Singh has been charged today by the police for making controversial comments during a Ram Navami rally in Hyderabad.

Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between various groups on the basis of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC were used to charge the suspended BJP MLA.

The case was filed in response to a complaint filed by SI J Veera Babu of the Afzalgunj Police Station, who stated that he was assigned to the SA Bazar area to maintain law and order in the aftermath of the suspended BJP MLA’s speech at the Ram Navami rally.

He claimed that the BJP MLA’s hate speech was recorded on a video camera by constable Kirthi Kumar when the rally was close to the Shanker Sher Hotel, who requested action against Raja Singh. SHO M Ravindar Reddy has been appointed the investigation officer.

At 9 p.m., Raja Singh’s shoba yatra arrived in SA Bazar. The politician made his speech in Hindi while riding an elephant. T Raja Singh, known for his contentious comments, sparked another debate during Ram Navami celebrations in Hyderabad by claiming that if India became a Hindu rashtra, only supporters of the two-child policy would be granted the right to vote.

“If India becomes a Hindu rashtra, only believers in the ‘we two, our two’ policy will be allowed to vote,” he stated, adding that those who adhere to the ‘we five, our 50’ policy will be denied the right to vote.

“Our saints have begun to imagine what the Hindu rashtra will look like. Its constitution is also being drafted. The capital of Hindu rashtra will not be Delhi. Saints are debating whether to visit Kashi, Mathura, or Ayodhya,” he stated.

He stated that farmers will be tax-free in Hindu rashtra, and there will be no cow slaughter and conversion.

The suspended MLA was booked by the Mumbai Police for allegedly giving a hate speech at an event in Mumbai in January of this year. T Raja Singh attended the Sakal Hindu Samaj gathering in Mumbai on January 29.
