Hyderabad Court Relaxes Actor Allu Arjun’s Bail Conditions, Grants Permission To Travel Abroad

Stampede Case

In a major relief to actor Allu Arjun, a court has eased the conditions of his bail in the Pushpa 2 stampede case, allowing him to skip weekly appearances before the investigating officer every Sunday.

The court also granted the actor permission to travel abroad to specified countries, provided he informs the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Chikkadpally police station whenever required. He must also share his travel schedule and accommodation details for each trip until the charge sheet is filed.

This decision came after Allu Arjun filed a petition requesting a relaxation of his bail terms. The court agreed to these changes while keeping the remaining bail conditions intact.

Previously, when the actor was granted regular bail on January 3, the court had instructed him to appear before the investigating officer every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for two months or until the charge sheet was filed, whichever came first. The actor was also prohibited from leaving the country without prior permission and ordered to cooperate with the investigation, ensuring he didn’t interfere or influence witnesses in any way.

Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the stampede that occurred during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on December 14, which lasted until January 10. The actor subsequently filed a regular bail petition, leading to the relaxation of some conditions.

The tragic incident occurred on December 4 when a stampede broke out as fans rushed to see Allu Arjun. A 35-year-old woman died, and her eight-year-old son was injured in the chaos. In response, the police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management under various sections of the Indian Penal Code at the Chikkadpally police station, following a complaint from the deceased woman’s family.

With the court’s latest ruling, Allu Arjun now has more flexibility while the investigation continues.
